Dr. Arthur Benjamin, Mathemagician
Foster Family Theater
Thursday, January 15, 7 p.m.
Kids and adults alike will marvel at the mental gymnastics of Dr. Arthur Benjamin, whose self-proclaimed “Mathemagical” talents are coming to the Gallo Center for the Arts on January 15 at 7 p.m. By day, Benjamin is a Professor of Mathematics at Harvey Mudd College in Claremont, California. But by night, he uses his love of stage magic and his prodigious mathematical talents to create one-of-a-kind shows that demonstrate his seemingly-superhuman powers of addition and multiplication.
Bring your budding mathematicians to the show and they may just get a chance to use their calculator to compete head-to-head with his rapid mental calculations. Benjamin’s dynamic performance has wowed audiences across the country, from The Today Show to the Colbert Report, and he’s given three TED Talks to date. This one is not to be missed! Tickets
start at just $10.
