Having a healthy lifestyle can be difficult in your daily routine. Unexpected things happen that could cause us to skip  gym, or even grab fast food for breakfast. Incorporating an In-Shape Attitude into your life can be one of the easiest ways to stay healthy, even when the unknown happens. Here are some of the best tips for your nutrition and fitness that you can accomplish in your daily routine!

Don’t skip meals. It can be tempting to skip meals, especially if you’re running late. Skipping meals can cause your metabolism to slow down. It can also cause you to have low blood sugar, which may make you feel irritable and foggy throughout the day. Try preparing your meals ahead of time, especially if you know you are going to be out of the house and in a hurry. It will also ensure you won’t be heading to the nearest fast food restaurant every day.

Walk a little more. It is easy to add in an extra mile to your day, just spread out the work and you probably won’t notice it. Park your car farther away from the store and walk the perimeter of the building at least once before you start your shopping. Take a well deserved break from your work and walk around your building or to the coffee shop around the corner. Walking after a meal can help you digest your food easier, and it adds steps to your mile.

Drink more water. Among the many health benefits of water, drinking two glasses prior to your meals can help fill you up, causing you to consume less. If you aren’t a fan of water, try flavoring it with fresh squeezed fruit juices and zests. You can even infuse your water with fruit overnight for extra flavor. If that still isn’t sweet enough for you, try adding stevia, agave, or honey. Stay away from cane sugar and syrups, which have unnecessary calories. If you are a soda fan, drink sparkling water infused with fresh fruit for a sweet, fizzy drink.

Take a group exercise class. With a busy schedule, sometimes you only have an hour to fit a full-body workout in your day. Many of our group exercise classes can do just that for you, and all you have to do is show up. From activities like lifting weights to cardiodancing, there is a group exercise class that can give you the workout you want and get you in and out of the gym fast.
