More fun than bulls eyeing womp rats in your T-16 Skyhopper, Star Wars Day 2018 is a celebration of the most influential sci-fantasy movies to ever grace the silver screen. Join fellow Star Wars fans for an evening of live music, cosplaying, lightsaber fights, and a laser light show—all for free!

2. ONE TABLE COMMUNITY DINNER
The Stanislaus County United Way welcomes you to join them at the table for a six-course meal supplied by some of Modesto’s best chefs. With food from Papachinos, Churchkey, Harvest Moon, Fuzio’s, and more, you’ll leave satisfied—and with the proceeds from the dinner going to help the Stanislaus County United Way, that satisfaction will be bone-deep.

3. AGRI-TOURISM INDUSTRY TOUR: THE FLAVOR OF THE VALLEY
Agriculture is the backbone of Stanislaus County. Lately, agriculture has also become a subject of interest for an unlikely group—tourists. Stanislaus County has a chance to get in on the ground floor of this newborn industry, which promises jobs and opportunities for agricultural students. Agri-Tourism Industry Tour will help high school and college students explore this bold new career path.

4. MODESTO PORCHFEST
Modesto’s music community is amazing—and Modesto Porchfest is a good way to immerse yourself in all the sounds that Modesto has to offer. On May 20th, Modesto neighborhoods will come alive as local bands are hosted on porches, driveways, and patios across the city for free, family-friendly concerts. 5. RIDE FOR MOM
Created for all ages and riding abilities, hundreds of cyclists will gather on Saturday morning, May 12, in Modesto, for the Ride for Mom® (RFM) family and charity cycling celebration. The event promotes healthy lifestyle choices while raising funds for several local nonprofit agencies. This year is especially significant as it will be the seventh annual event. 6. PAGEO LAVENDER FARM’S ANNUAL HARVEST
As spring gives way to summer, the annual lavender harvest at Pageo Farms is upon us again. Whether you’re hungry for delicately scented lavender soaps, curious about culinary lavender, or just looking for a pastoral setting to enjoy a lovely May or June day, come on down to Pageo Lavender Farm. Shop for lavender products, take a tour of the farm, or have lunch, all amid a sea of purple lavender blooms.

7. THE OLATE DOGS
Do you like cute dogs? Do you like stunts? Richard and Nicholas Olate’s dog show should be just your thing. Winner of America’s Got Talent Season 7, the Olate Dogs are a variety show featuring tricks, stunts, music, slapstick, and acrobatics. Don’t miss it; you’ll never see another show like this.

May 27, 2 P.M. | State Theatre, Modesto

8. 13TH ANNUAL GRAFFITI CLASSIC CAR SHOW 
Celebrate Modesto’s hot rod culture. The Modesto Area Street Rod Association welcomes you to witness a slew of classic cars at McHenry Village Shopping Center. Enjoy some classic oldies, performed by The Hot Rods Band, and partake in raffle drawings all day long. If you’ve got a classic car to show off, you can register for $25 before May 30th, or $30 after that date.

June 3, 9 A.M. – 3 P.M. | Mchenry Village, Modesto

9. MODESTO ANIME – COMIC CON
Have you been looking for a kid-friendly anime convention that the whole family can attend? Look no further! Clarion Hotel is hosting Modesto Anime-Comic Con, an event where everyone is free to let their geek side run wild. Don’t miss the cosplay contest, to be held promptly at 2:30 PM. Tickets are $5 in advance, or $7 dollars at the door. Entrance is free for children 12 and under.

10. MODESTO BLUES FESTIVAL
Good music and good vibes await you at the Modesto Blues Festival. Come for the blues bands rocking the stage, stay for the Car and Bike show. Music starts at 5 P.M. and goes until 10, featuring bands such as Blues Box Bayou Band, Deja Blues, and Voodoo Killer. Entry is $5, 21 and over only.
