Superhero Fun Run

By Noel Daniel

Modesto citizens dusted off their capes and got their backstories straight. That’s right, for one day at least, Modesto had a whole lot of heroes, all ready to do some good in their community for the Superhero Fun Run.

This do-gooder dash took place in East La Loma park and had two distances, a 5K and a 10K, as well as a kid’s fun run. All proceeds from the race went to support the youth shelters. It was a superhero race for the full-time heroes in  our community.

The family-friendly run was presented by the Dusty Bottoms Trail Runners and all proceeds benefitted the Center for Human Services’ shelters for youth: Hutton House and Pathways. Make sure to keep an eye out for more super-heroic sprinting in the future.
