Out & About: The Community Brunch
By Noel Daniel
The community munched, crunched, and brunched on everything from fresh made-to-order crêpes, shrimp cocktails, chicken fajitas, and so much more at The Community Brunch this year. The brunch is an amazing annual opportunity for local chefs to partner with five very deserving local charities that support the kids in our community. It’s a competition-style brunch where both chefs and charities will compete for the chance to win $100,000 or more. This year, on Sept. 11 in the Modesto Center Plaza, the brunch commenced deliciously—but always with the community in mind. The event had partners like The Salvation Army Red Shield, the Stanislaus County Police Activities League, Without Permission, Society for disABILITIES, and the Education Foundation of Stanislaus County.
