Holiday Plays for the Whole Family

Modesto Performing Arts brings you this much-beloved holiday classic. Ebenezer Scrooge, rich and miserly, shuns the people around him in pursuit of wealth and looks down his nose at the concept of charity, especially where holidays are concerned. When he’s visited by the ghost of his dead business partner, Jacob Marley, on Christmas Eve, Scrooge is forced to confront his past, his present, and the future that lies ahead of him if he continues down this path.

Nov. 24 – 26, 7:30 p.m. and 2 p.m.    |    Foster Family Theatre

This musical comedy romp is fun for children and adults alike. When an orphan named Buddy mistakenly crawls into Santa’s gift bag, he’s brought to the North Pole and raised as an elf. After finding out he’s human, Buddy goes in search of his birth father in New York City, and finds that his father is sorely in need of a lesson in the true meaning of Christmas.
