Get Professional Advice at Stanislaus County Home and Garden Show

By Jacqui D. Sinarle

A variety of professionals are available to help with a wide range of home and garden projects at the Stanislaus County Home and Garden Show, presented every spring by Metro Expositions.

This year’s show is scheduled for Mar. 3, 4 and 5 at the Modesto Centre Plaza on Friday from 12 p.m. to 5 p.m., and Saturday and Sunday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.

“The Stanislaus County Home and Garden Show offers current and future homeowners the opportunity to visit several vendors in one place at one time for tips and new ideas to help improve and beautify their homes and yards,” said Miriam Delgado, spokesperson for Metro Expositions. “General admission is $5, but we also offer free tickets on facebook.com/modestohomeshow.” The show includes a variety of vendors with information on solar energy, remodeling, landscaping, cookware, HVAC, windows, pools, electrical, real estate, and more. Vendors will also offer help with home security, artificial turf, and ways to cut your yard’s watering needs. Some popular repeat vendors include Honey’s Air and Solar, That’s Byers, City of Modesto Solid Waste Division, Culligan Water Conditioning, System Pavers, and Tuff Shed.

“We book new vendors on a weekly basis,” said Delgado. “For every show, we book more than 100 vendors to insure that attendees have a different variety to talk and learn from.”

This year’s show includes some special extras as well. The first 200 people who attend the show each day will receive a plant provided by Frantz Nursery, and the first 200 people who arrive each day will receive a free donut from Krispy Kreme of Stockton.

“We also have Booth Bingo, which is popular with both show attendees and vendors,” Delgado said. “Show attendees visit all of the vendors who are participating and get a stamp from each, then everyone who submits a completed bingo card gets a chance to win prizes.”

In addition, the show features live demonstrations from Lifetime Cookware and Kitchen Craft, and food trucks including Rita’s Italian Ice Cream.

Metro Expositions will present its annual fall Modesto Home Improvement Show on Sept. 22, 23 and 24, 2017.

“If you are interested in renovating your home or garden, choose the improvements that add the most value to your home and don’t plan on doing everything yourself, because some projects will require professional assistance,” Delgado advised. “Plan to attend the Stanislaus Home and Garden Show and select the right professional to help you, and visit our Facebook page for more home and garden tips!”
