DIY: Beauty Products
By Noel Daniel
Sometimes beauty products can be downright expensive. Some commercial beauty products can even damage your skin with harsh chemicals and perfumes. When in doubt about which products to rely on, we’d recommend whipping up some of your own. We’ve put together a whole beauty routine just for you to try out!
GREEN TEA CLEANSER
Just make sure you have one tablespoon of green tea leaves, two teaspoons of aloe vera, and two cups of water. Bring the water to a boil, then remove from heat and start steeping your tea. Let it sit for five minutes before straining and then stirring in the aloe vera gel. Then pour into an ice cube tray, freeze for three hours, and feel free to use! Just pop an ice cube, use for two minutes, and then pat dry.
ROSE WATER TONER
Take a half cup of rose water, a half cup of witch hazel without alcohol, and one tablespoon of fresh lemon juice. Then stir to combine and transfer to a sealed container. Use after cleansing your face, and follow with a moisturizer!
COCONUT OIL MOISTURIZER
This moisturizer utilizes coconut oil, lavender oil, and Vitamin E oil to make the best moisturizer recipe for the thirstiest skin. Coconut oil has anti-aging and anti-microbial properties, lavender oil has antioxidant properties, and Vitamin E reduces the appearances of blemishes.
This DIY face moisturizer is simple and easy to make at home. Simply melt 1 cup of coconut oil by placing it in a bowl of hot water, add one teaspoon of Vitamin E oil and 10 to 12 drops of lavender oil and whip with a fork. Let the moisturizer sit and solidify for a smooth and creamy texture.
HYDRATING FACE SERUM
This serum blends aloe vera with soothing lavender for a nourishing and hydrating homemade serum that will make your face glow. Just combine two tablespoons aloe vera gel, one tablespoon jojoba oil, and five drops of lavender oil in a small bottle. Shake well before use and apply to clean, damp skin!
