Too Many Tamales

This evening of music, laughter, and fun is adapted from Gary Soto’s short story, “Too Many Tamales.” Adapted by Margarita Galban and Lina Montalvo, this story of temptation is for audiences of all ages! The story focuses on Maria, a little girl from a Hispanic family, as they celebrate on Christmas Eve. The stage is filled with an angelic Christmas tree, a Nativity scene, toys, a pinata, and a devil holding a pitchfork. Directed by Robin Bjerke, “Too Many Tamales” is a story about learning from mistakes and how important it is to forgive.
